While watching matters, hyperventilating over every nit is not necessary. We are on a wild ride here so just expect turbulence and limited visibility. While building this boiling mess upon trillions of dollars of debt is risky, that is where we are. Meanwhile, we are learning both how to build and to use in real time. That is normal for a monster transition like this. So is setting into an 80/20 Pareto split. The mundane work will use the mundane tokens and the cutting edge work will pay up. We will have overages and underages of capacity, mostly underages. Given this scenario, the initial boom will likely be followed by a debt-induced bust because SOMETHING is likely to go wrong at this rate. The industry will dust off (this may hurt and take years), then the real progress begins with more tested use and infrastructure. Very 2000.
